Thanks. The tailor that Benny knows visited home yesterday and measured me up for my new suit and left some books of swatches of fabric to look at (too much choice really). Once I have made that decision the suit should be ready for a first fitting in a week or so.
My family have always been happy for me to get wet and muddy ever since I was quite small - I grew up on a farm, so lots of opportunities to get very wet and very muddy - much to mum's despair sometimes. It was almost a regular weekend occurrence for me to get hosed down in the yard for some reason, which my dad took great delight in doing. My younger brother, Tom, is 16 now and the younger twins, Rob and Henry, are nearly 14, and all enjoy getting wet and muddy sometimes - not as much as me - so it must run in the family. My two sisters think it all rather disgusting but seem happy to watch and shout cheeky comments when we boys got hosed down ....
The family have been very accepting of me being gay (uncle Benny is dad's brother, so there was a precedent there) and they all get on well with Paul, who mum describes as a "civilizing influence" on my heathen nature, which amuses him.
Life is good, despite lockdown, as Paul and I are very happy, we both enjoy the work we do (he works for his family's bakery business and me for uncle Benny) and Jonno and Benny are good company and fun to be around. Hopefully we will be going back to see my family next week, as I have missed them and doing chats on-line is not the same.
